Paula,
thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree with you that science might help us getting an answer. I do believe that we lack mechanisms to trigger decisions efficiently from communities and networked organizations, but it might not be enough, we already know that social media might not be suitable for every part of the enterprise. This is also the general meaning of a follow-up I am writing, from unused material I collected for this post.

I'm still mulling over this. I'm sure I'm having problems taking a stance here because this is a topic on the 'edge', where the answers are still fuzzy.

I might have been quick to agree with you in the past, but not now. The point however is that I'm not prepared to disagree with you. I believe that this is part of the answer, but more and more I'm starting to sense we need to follow the patterns in science.

I think there is a quantum perspective missing that is neither links or nodes, but is the space between.

Thanks Avi,
you are right, people are what matters. Evangelism and education are the biggest (and most important) part of our daily work. Only after will we able to efficiently change the frames.

Excellent post Thierry! we could also mention that the most important is education. education in the organization first, to be open not only to the social tools, but also to PEOPLE, and so far, from my experience, only little and brave are doing it.
